Perinatal Mental Health & Motherhood
Trying to conceive and feeling lost? Struggling with loss or infertility? Navigating motherhood after birth trauma? Motherhood can be beautiful AND incredibly hard. I work with mothers who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves.
I have advanced training in perinatal mental health, which covers the time period from conception, through pregnancy, and postpartum. I have extensive experience working with clients through motherhood, loss, infertility, birth trauma, pregnancy complications, and burnout.
Military
I work with active-duty service members, reservists, veterans, and military families. Military life demands strength, discipline, and resilience, but it can also leave little room to process stress, trauma, loss, or the challenges of transitioning between roles and identities.
Whether you’re dealing with deployment stress, PTSD, anxiety, depression, moral injury, anger, relationship strain, or the difficulty of transitioning to civilian life, I have seen it all. Therapy is a place to reset, regroup, and strengthen the skills that already helped you survive. I have guided clients through their transition out of active duty, treated duty related and combat PTSD, assisted with reintegrating after deployment, and more.
Trauma/Sexual Trauma
Have you experienced something that changed your perception of yourself, your safety, or the way your nervous system responds? Are you concerned you are experiencing PTSD or C-PTSD symptoms? Trauma can impact us all differently. Healing from trauma can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve spent years feeling unheard, unsafe, or disconnected from yourself.
I am trained in multiple trauma-specific modalities. It is my goal to make you feel safe and supported as we work on managing your symptoms, healing from your experiences, and discovering who you are now.
First Responders
You run toward what others run from. You’ve seen things most people can’t imagine, and you’re expected to just handle it.
I am experienced in working with all first responders, whether you are a police officer, firefighter, EMT/paramedic, nurse, doctor, fellow social worker or therapist. If you are looking for someone who understands your lifestyle, who can help you manage exposure to trauma, burnout, sleep issues, compassion fatigue, feeling “on edge,” reach out today.
If your spouse or partner is a first responder and you need a therapist who understands that the dynamics of your relationship differs from others whose other half has a “normal” job, let me help you navigate the unique experiences and how they impact your mental health.
